Cures For Boredom
Chapter Six

"You know," said Bethany as she walked down the street, swinging Anton's hand in her own.  "Usually I'll be having sex with a guy by now, but you're different."

"Yeah, normally I'd be doing the same thing."

"So you'd be having sex with a guy by now?" chuckled Bethany.

Anton blushed again.  "No, I mean I'd be having sex with a girl by now."

            "I've never done that."

"Huh?" Another one of Bethany's statements took him off guard.

"I've never had sex with a girl.  Most guys think I have whenever I tell them what I do.  Which always seems stupid, because if I tell them when I meet them, they get a bad impression.  If it's after we've been dating they get mad and dump me or want me to do something Im not comfortable with."

"No, I never thought that.  When you said that I could barely process it.  You seem so angelic that it made it hard to believe.  And dont worry, I'd never make you do something youre uncomfortable with."

"Gosh, you're understanding.  I guess you're probably wondering why I started to get in those movies."

"Well, yeah, if you want to talk about it," said Anton blushing for a third time that night.

"At first, when there wasn't any sex involved, I did it as a quick way to get money.  I was living basically on my own my parents are lawyers and were always too busy to care about me, or what I wanted.  Then in college, I guess I did it to get comfortable in my own skin.  It didn't really work out."

"Guess not, it doesn't really help you mentally when you have to get so physical.  I hate to admit it, but after sleeping with a lot of girls, and I mean a lot of girls, it doesn't really make me feel better," said Anton as he was in shock of his own words.  Until that very second when that last sentence got out, he didn't know he had so many things bottled up.

"Gosh, you really are understanding.  So," Bethany began taking in a deep breath, "you'd understand why I'd want to take this slow."

At this point, Anton's normal response would be to release her grasp from his hand and dart off to the nearest strip club, but this wasn't a normal night.  Bethany was an even less normal girl.  Given that they seemed to completely understand one another after meeting only two hours earlier at most, Anton could barely believe he hadn't mounted her yet.

"Um, Anton, you in there?" Bethany asked waving her free hand in front of Anton's face.  "Earth to Anton, respond please."

Anton was unaware he had paused to answer Bethany's request.  "Sure, sure take things slow, absolutely."

"Now that we have that out of the way," Bethany said bringing her lips only centimeters away from Anton.  "You started to drool, there."

"Huh?  Oh," said Anton as he wiped the spit off of his chin.  "Sorry, guess I got lost in thought and shit.  Damn, you make me think.  You're a good influence on me already."

Bethany chuckled again and Anton's heart wasn't the only thing tingling this time.

"Taking things slow isn't going to be as easy as I thought it would be."

"Why, is it hard for you?" Bethany asked very concerned.

            "You could say that."

"Do you want to talk about it?"

"No, I dont think that will help."

            "What will?"

            "A cold shower."

            "Huh?"

            "Nevermind."
